It´s been a rough 2 months for a town that entirely is built on tourism. Santa Teresa has the greatest waves in Costa Rica, but when it´s offseason, this place is muerto for real.
Finally a weeek ago it started from one day to the next. Yes, the tourists are back.
Santa Teresa is hoppening and everything is booked out all of a sudden. It happened so quickly and suddenly all of the places like surfcamp (party spot) are open.
Halloween is the official off kicker of the season.
Awesome party last night at surfcamp. Now its 11 AM and nobody on the street. No wonder, the party lasted til 4 in the morning.
Everyone is happy, everyone makes money now. I wonder what it would take for a place like this one to have all year round tourism like Montezuma.
Unless we find something new and special to offer other than surf and parties, it could happen. Montezuma has the tours to Tortuga Island, is close to the national park with tons of wildlife and Montezuma also has this famous waterfall. It´s close to Cabuya which has a lot to offer to nature lovers as well.
One thing that hasn´t stopped was the building on the best spots. Our real estate office is right at the Cruce. Across is the mall and next to us historic Franks place. Frank was a pioneer and came here when there was nothing.
